Mecca Pryor was born in Brooklyn and raised in West Orange, New Jersey. She is a senior at New York University's Steinhardt School, pursuing a degree in Media, Culture, and Communication. She enjoys writing about culture, fashion, style, and beauty. Mecca is the most recent member to join the UPTOWN team in 2023 as a summer intern.
