That spirit was on full display during the Kool Kids Foundation Summer Celebration Series, an annual weekend of philanthropy, entertainment, and community that brought together artists, media personalities, business leaders, and more to travel to New Jersey to invest in the future of music education. The weekend highlights the power of giving back while raising funds to provide musical instruments and resources to underserved school music programs throughout the state.

The weekend opened with the 3rd Annual LeKool Champagne First Lady Awards Brunch at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club. The celebration continued with the 5th Annual Kool Kids Foundation Day Party, hosted by Newark native Vin-Rock of Naughty by Nature and soundtracked by celebrity DJ Kid Capri.  The weekend concluded with the 7th Annual Kool Kids Foundation Charity & Celebrity Golf Outing. Each event shared a common purpose: make sure more young people have access to music education.

For many schools, arts programs are often among the first to experience budget cuts. The Kool Kids Foundation works to help bridge that gap by providing musical instruments and resources to underfunded schools, giving students opportunities to explore their creativity, build confidence, and discover the impact music can have.

It’s a mission that reflects Bell’s own journey. As co-founder of one of music’s most celebrated bands, he understands firsthand how access to instruments, mentorship, and opportunity can change the course of a young person’s life.

As guests gathered to celebrate with the community throughout the weekend, they also helped ensure that the next generation of musicians, creators, and dreamers will have the opportunity to write their own stories one instrument at a time.
