– Idris Elba explains the one similarity between Luther and Bond, while speaking with Extra at the New York premiere of Luther: The Fallen Sun, which also stars Cynthia Erivo and Andy Serkis. Fans have called for the actor to step into the role of British MI6 agent James Bond since 2021’s No Time to Die was Daniel Craig’s fifth and final time playing the iconic character. But now that Luther has hit the big screen, Elba says he’s ready to go bigger, “I want to do a franchise.”
