Guinness World Record-holding hip-hop artist Jeezy closes out his TM:101 Live tour. “What a time to be alive! This year has been about growth, intention, and living in my truth,” he posted on Instagram. “Turning pressure into purpose, wounds into power, pain into impact, and failure into triumph. I want to thank God for every word born from survival and every song that came from the struggle. This was not just a tour; this was a testimony. Every loss, every victory.” Photo: Jeezy / Instagram

The African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA) is ushering in a bold new moment for the city’s cultural landscape with the announcement that Grammy-nominated artist, New York Times best-selling author, and entrepreneur Jay Jeezy Jenkins will serve as honorary host committee chair for its 2026 Flowers x Seeds Gala.

The appointment signals a powerful convergence of visual art, music, and cross-industry leadership, reflecting Atlanta’s continued evolution as a global hub for Black creativity and innovation. Jeezy’s role with ADAMA underscores how contemporary cultural stewardship increasingly transcends traditional boundaries, bringing together artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to shape the future of Black art institutions.

“Flowers x Seeds has always been about honoring legacy while investing in the future,” said ADAMA founder Dr. Fahamu Pecou. “Bringing Jeezy into our ecosystem reflects how cultural leadership today isn’t confined to one discipline. It’s about how we collectively shape a more dynamic, inclusive arts landscape.”

Impact of Flowers x Seeds Gala

ADAMA’s annual Flowers x Seeds Gala is the museum’s signature fundraising event, supporting exhibitions, public programming, and educational initiatives that center the global African Diaspora. The 2026 gala is scheduled for February 21, 2026, at The Nia Building at Pittsburgh Yards, a space emblematic of Atlanta’s commitment to creative placemaking and community-driven development. Additional announcements, including the year’s honorees and full programming, will be revealed in the coming months.

As both a celebration and a catalyst, Flowers x Seeds has become a cornerstone event where culture, creativity, and community intersect. Jeezy’s involvement further amplifies that mission, bringing a voice that resonates across generations and industries.

Why Jeezy

A cultural icon whose influence extends far beyond music, Jeezy has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and built a reputation for authentic storytelling, business acumen, and community impact. In recent years, he has expanded his artistic reach through ambitious live productions, including the TM:101 Live Tour, a sold-out national run celebrating the 20th anniversary of his landmark debut album Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The tour, featuring The Color of Noize Orchestra conducted by Derrick Hodge with musical direction by Adam Blackstone, culminated in a sold-out Las Vegas residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from October through December 2025.

Jeezy also made history as the first artist to earn a Guinness World Records title for the “Largest orchestra for a hip-hop music concert,” further cementing his legacy as a boundary-pushing innovator.

With Jeezy stepping into this honorary leadership role, ADAMA’s 2026 Flowers x Seeds Gala promises to reflect the expansive, interconnected nature of Black culture today—where art, music, entrepreneurship, and activism meet to honor legacy while planting seeds for the future.
