If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a real-life fairytale, Disneyland Paris makes dreams come true. With its enchanting mix of classic Disney magic, European charm, and thrilling attractions, this one-of-a-kind resort offers an unforgettable escape for families, couples, and Disney fans alike.
Disneyland Paris was originally known as Euro Disney Resort when it opened on April 12, 1992, in Marne-la-Vallée, France, which is about 20 miles east of Paris. The resort was developed by The Walt Disney Company as its second international one after Tokyo Disneyland. In addition to its Disneyland Park, Disneyland Paris opened Walt Disney Studios Park, which was added to expand the resort’s appeal in 2002. Since its opening, Disneyland Paris has grown into one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting millions of visitors annually. In addition to its two theme parks, Disneyland Paris has multiple hotels and a shopping district called Disney Village. Operating in the same spirit of Walt Disney’s perspective when Disneyland in California opened, Disneyland Paris will never be completed, as new attractions and experiences are currently under development.

Conveniently located less than 10 minutes by high-speed train from Charles de Gaulle Airport, it’s easier than ever to immerse yourself in the magic of Disney—Parisian style.
I recently visited Disneyland Paris after previously visiting in 2000 and 2001. Suffice it to say, I was floored to see how much the complex has developed since then (keep in mind, Walt Disney Studios Park and Disney Village didn’t exist during that time). With my latest visit, I enjoyed some rides and experiences that you cannot miss when you visit, because I know you’re going to want to book a trip.

2. Big Thunder Mountain – Often regarded by Disney aficionados as the most unique version of this attraction, Disneyland Paris’ Big Thunder Mountain takes guests on a wild ride across the Rivers of the Far West.
3. Phantom Manor – This attraction is a bit more of a cinematic take on “The Haunted Mansion.” which are found at Disney parks in the US. However, this particular version is filled with eerie storytelling and a hauntingly beautiful score.

This 20-minute extravaganza invites guests to embark on an emotional journey through beloved tales such as Cinderella, Pinocchio, Encanto, and Lilo & Stitch, brought to life with cutting-edge technology and artistry.
For the first time in Disneyland Paris history, the show illuminates not only the Sleeping Beauty Castle, but also the facades of Main Street, U.S.A., creating an immersive environment that makes guests feel as if they’re stepping into the heart of Disney narratives. The spectacle features state-of-the-art projections, lasers, pyrotechnics, fountains, and drones, all synchronized to a stirring soundtrack performed by a 100-piece orchestra.
