
Disneyland Resort once again kicked off Black History Month with its first Celebrate Gospel concerts of 2025 this past Saturday, with the second one set to take place this Saturday, February 15, at the Fantasyland Theatre inside Disneyland Park.
This year’s lineup features acclaimed gospel artists DOE and Melvin Crispell, III, along with local Southern California choirs.
In addition to the concerts, the resort is offering a variety of experiences throughout February as part of its Celebrate Soulfully initiative. Guests can enjoy special musical selections, meet beloved characters like Princess Tiana, and explore unique art displays. Also, guest can enjoy specially curated culinary offerings, including black-eyed pea stew with hot water cornbread with smoked turkey, ham hock, andouille sausage, and vegetables, with seasoned rice and hot link.

DOE, a Grammy Award-winning and two-time Dove Award-winning singer-songwriter expressed her excitement about performing at Disneyland. In a recent interview, she shared, “To be a part of any gospel event is a huge honor for me and I’m excited to do that at Disneyland. I’m really happy that they are making space for gospel music.”

Melvin Crispell, III, a four-time Grammy nominee, also conveyed his enthusiasm, stating, “It makes me glad that Disney would even take the time to highlight and celebrate Gospel music–that means the world to me.”
