Always sporting a positive attitude, bright smile, and a bow-tie, Raevon Redding epitomizes the very essence of what it means to be a Disney Cast Member.

Raevon’s journey with Disney began as a child who was captivated by the magic of Walt Disney World’s Spectromagic parade. As he grew up in Winter Park, Florida, he often dreamed of being part of that magic, and that dream fully materialized in 2014 when Raevon was cast as an entertainment performer for Disney while attending college. He participated in beloved parades like the “Festival of Fantasy” and “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.” His work as a performer even earned him the Disney Heroes Award in 2017, after he saved a child during a parade performance.

Much of what makes Raevon who he is can be attributed to his family. His grandmother played a particular role in helping him believe that his dreams can be realized. She would tell him, “A closed mouth doesn’t get fed,” so he quickly learned that positively confessing the desires of his heart would make them manifest – and they have.

Raevon’s career took an amazing twist when he became one of the first Black performers at Shanghai Disney Resort, as he performed in the park’s 2017 Halloween celebrations. His ability to blend joy and professionalism allowed him to connect deeply with guests, irrespective of language or cultural barriers. After returning to the U.S., Raevon expanded his skillset by enrolling in the Disney Aspire Program, as he was finishing his studies in hospitality and event management at Bellevue University. He later transitioned to guest relations at Walt Disney World, becoming a founding member of the Guest Experience Team. In 2021, Raevon served a two-year stint as an official spokesperson for Walt Disney World Resort as a Disney Ambassador. In this very public facing role that he shared with Ali Manion, Raevon had the honor of representing 75,000 Walt Disney World Cast Members during more than 300 public appearances, including the key events of The 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World; Disney Dreamers Academy; the inaugural sailing of Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wish; and D23 Expo. After his Walt Disney World Ambassador role ended, Raevon took on another role at Walt Disney World as a Senior Communications Specialist, where he played a significant role in Walt Disney World’s “Magic in the World” initiative. This effort took Raevon and a production crew around the country to ask ordinary people about their Walt Disney World moment. The responses were filled with memorable stories and emotional moments. Recently, Raevon was promoted to Multicultural Marketing Strategy Manager at Disneyland, which is his latest achievement in a career that continues to be filled with inspiring milestones.

One of Raevon’s central messages is the value of connection. Reflecting on his work, he once said, “Every day is an opportunity to create magic, not just in the parks but in the way we interact with each other.” His philosophy of fostering joy and meaning in every interaction is echoed in his leadership approach as he mentors and uplifts fellow cast members.

Raevon frequently shares inspiration on Instagram (@MrDoingTheMost) through his “BowTie Talk,” which encourages his audience to pursue their dreams with purpose. Raevon’s authenticity and optimism resonate with Disney’s core values, and he continually strives to make every interaction memorable.

Now in a larger leadership position at Disneyland, Raevon’s influence is growing exponentially. His journey reflects not only personal growth but also his unwavering commitment to spreading Disney magic around the world.
