
Last night, Usher Raymond IV accepted the BET Lifetime Achievement Award during the network’s annual BET Awards, which were held in Los Angeles. However, many fans watching the ceremony at home were shocked that much of Usher’s BET Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech was censored. BET went further than omitting the explicit language the Grammy winner used to punctuate his message of manifesting your goals and gratitude for those who helped him along the way, including Quincy Jones and Kirk Franklin, and removed whole sentences of the speech.
