First Look: ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 [PHOTO + VIDEO]

The 30-day countdown for when season 3 of the Emmy-winning Star Wars: The Mandalorian begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ has begun.

Yesterday, Disney+ marked the 30-day countdown to the release of season 3 of Star Wars: The Mandalorian by releasing key art and a featurette.

The critically acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning live-action series will stream exclusively on Disney+ beginning March 1.

In the short film, showrunner/head writer and executive producer Jon Favreau; writer, director, actor, and executive producer Dave Filoni; writer, director, actor, and executive producer Rick Famuyiwa; and others discuss how The Mandalorian and its fan-favorite character Grogu have become  worldwide phenomena.

The Lucasfilm series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow, and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Here’s what to expect from The Mandalorian season 3, according to press materials:

“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
