Toast to the best voices and talents in the music industry with these cocktails while you watch the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 5. These five Grammys-inspired cocktails are themed to the hottest albums, songs, and artists of the year, including Beyoncé’s Renaissance, Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti, Doja Cat’s “Vegas,” and “pushin P” by Gunna and Future featuring Young Thug. No matter your musical tastes and spirits preference, one of these tipples will have you doing a two-step while watching the ceremony.

Both Beyoncé’s Renaissance and Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti have been nominated for Album of the Year and singles from these albums also have been recognized. Gunna and Future’s “pushin P” and Doja’s “Vegas” were nominated for Best Rap Performance. The fifth cocktail in this Grammy Awards cocktail guide highlights the comeback of ABBA.

Break My Soul

Inspired by the house beats and unapologetic confidence found in Renaissance by Beyoncé, the Break My Soul cocktail features a tangy, vibrant flavor profile that keeps the energy up and your feet moving. 

  • 1 ½ Patrón Reposado Tequila
  • ½ oz orgeat
  • ¾ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
  • ¾ oz charred pineapple juice
  • 7-8 leaves of pineapple mint
  • Pinch of salt
  • Garnish: large sprig of pineapple mint and lemon verbena; charred pineapple wedge
  • Glass: rocks or collins

Method: Shake all ingredients with cubed ice quickly 4 to 5 seconds. Fine strain over crushed ice in rocks or collins glass. Garnish with a large sprig of pineapple mint and lemon verbena. Add a wedge of charred pineapple, if desired.

Bad Bombay Mule

Inspired by the world-renowned artist Bad Bunny’s latest hit, the Bad Bombay Mule features fresh mint and spicy ginger bound to get you up and moving.

  • 1.7 oz part Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • 0.5 oz lime juice
  • 3.4 oz Fever-Tree Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: mint leaves, lime wedge, ginger
  • Glass: copper mug

Method: Build all in a copper mug. Stir well with ice and squeeze 2 lime wedges over the drink.

Pushin’ P G&T

Sip on this classic pairing while listening to the iconic duo, Gunna and Future’s hit single “Pushin’ P.”

  • 1.7 oz Bombay Sapphire
  • 3.4 oz Fever-Tree Tonic Water
  • Garnish: 1 pink grapefruit wedge-gently squeezed and 1 rosemary sprig-gently awoken
  • Glass: balloon

Method: Squeeze a pink grapefruit wedge into a balloon glass then drop in. Add the rosemary sprig and Bombay Sapphire, then swirl well to infuse. Fully fill the glass with cubed ice and top with Fever-Tree Tonic Water. Gently fold/stir to combine.

Hair of the Hound…Dog

This ain’t nothin’ but a delicious, fruity cocktail to enjoy while listening to Doja Cat’s hit, “Vegas,” featured in the critically acclaimed film Elvis.

  • 1 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • ½ oz Noilly Prat Original Dry Vermouth
  • ½ oz Elderflower cordial
  • ½ oz fresh apple juice
  • 2 oz chilled ginger ale
  • Garnish: gold leaf, pineapple leaves
  • Glass: highball

Method: Add Bombay Sapphire, Noilly Prat, elderflower cordial, and fresh apple juice into a highball glass. Stir well to infuse and top with chilled ginger ale.

Don’t Shut Me Down

Inspired by the comeback of disco legend ABBA, the Don’t Shut Me Down martini seeks to hearken back to the classics with a refined, nuanced flavor from a 1:1 gin and vermouth ratio. 

  • 1.5 parts Noilly Prat Extra Dry Vermouth
  • 1.5 parts Bombay Sapphire Gin
  • Lemon twist (natural zest as sharp cut)
  • Garnish: fresh lemon zest
  • Glass: martini

Method: In a shaker, pour the ingredients over cubed ice and shake well to chill. Strain into a frozen martini glass and garnish with a zest of fresh lemon.
