Radar: Summer Fling, Much?

We can read minds.  You want to escape.  You need a break.  August is pretty much your last hurrah before summer ends and somber September is upon us.

Here, a few options for a last minute summer fling...

NEW YORK CITY: citizenM Times Square

Billed as digs for the international traveler “who crosses continents the way others cross streets,” this Dutch-based European game-changer is turning heads with its first U.S. location. From self check-in and well-organized rooms and touchpads that control everything, to free WiFi and a rooftop bar, its biggest coup is not breaking the bank.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Marriott Marquis

The 1,175- room, 49-suite hotel is the capital’s largest in the best location—adjacent to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, which guests can directly access through an underground concourse. On-site dining/lounging options include Anthem, The Dignitary, High Velocity and Lobby Bar.

PARIS: Le Bristol

Amazingly, this French pillar nestled on Paris’s iconic shopping street rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, where Josephine Baker, Marilyn Monroe and Naomi Campbell have stayed since its 1925 opening, completed a six-year renovation without ever closing its doors. Among the many stunning updates to the hotel, which houses the three Michelin-starred Epicure, is the white Calacatta Michelangelo marble in the lobby echoing its white walls.

SANTIAGO: Renaissance

Located in one of the city’s most fashion-forward areas, but also close to top-notch dining, the brand’s third foray in Latin America has 181 luxe rooms, including six suites and one presidential suite. On-site dining includes Catae, Kaitek Café Bar,  and El Cofa Bar on the 16th floor terrace where breathtaking views accompany specialty cocktails and appetizers.
