Ever scroll down your Twitter timeline or Facebook page and see an update about a product, service, or game that you didn't write yourself? The newest one that everyone seems to be getting hit by is the "Get Verified" app for Twitter that promises to help everyday citizens get that coveted blue check mark on our profiles.
Unfortunately, apps like this are somehow (mostly through human error) hijacking their way into all of our social media accounts and posting things without our knowledge.
And because we know that one of your (ok our) new year's resolutions was to stop spamming your mom, we want to put you on to a nifty little service called mypermissions.org.
Mypermissions helps you find and fix your privacy settings for up to eight social media platforms, including everyone’s new fave: Instagram. Using mypermissions is easy and takes less than five minutes. It can also be the gift that keeps on giving when you share the link with friends…you know, the ones who still have twittascopes?
Start 2012 off with a clean slate at www.mypermissions.org.
