Fall brings a few additional "Taste Of" festivals for foodies

So you missed Taste of Chicago and all the other great food festivals of the summer and the spring? No need to fret. We found a few more "Taste Of" festivities to stave off the hunger pains this fall.

TasteofDCTaste of D.C.: October 8-10

Taste of D.C. was cancelled in 2005, but thanks to Steuart Martens, who appeared on The Apprentice: Season 10 (where Liza Mucheru-Wisner rocked it), it’s been resurrected. The problem before: not enough restaurants. This year, however, such faves as BGR the Burger Joint, P.J. Clarke’s, chocolate lounge and boutique Co Co. Sala, and Lincoln Restaurant all have something for the people. Plus with Groupon as the main sponsor, there will be food trucks. Tickets start at $15. Pennsylvania Ave. TheTasteofDC.org. @thetasteofdc

taste of soulTaste of Soul L.A.: October 15

Adding some soul is guaranteed to spice up any Taste event, and it’s proved a winning formula for the Los Angeles Sentinel-sponsored fete on Crenshaw for six years now. Radio partner KJLH is bringing Tyrese, Goapele, Doug E. Fresh, and Johnny Gill to truly get this food party started. There's something for the entire community, so just bring money for food.  Crenshaw Blvd. (between King and Rodeo). taste of atlTaste of Atlanta: October 22-23

“It’s our anniversary” should be the theme of this year’s Taste of Atlanta, since it’s the 10th anniversary of the event. Atlanta’s foodie street festival always proves a highlight of the fall season, and this year's birthday candles just make it more spectacular. From crowning the best bartender to cooking demonstrations to embracing Atlanta’s growing food truck movement, Taste of Atlanta continues to find ways to tingle taste buds. Tickets start at $25. Tech Square, Midtown (Spring St. and 5th). TasteofAtlanta.com @tasteofatlanta
