Raise a Glass
We’ve said it before and we will say it again. Karl Lagerfeld is one of the few designers who can attach his name to a project and practically guarantee it to sell.
We enter into evidence Lagerfeld's most recent collaboration. The sartorial and creative genius joined forces with Orrefors, a Swedish company that has been creating crystal utility glassware and art glass for more than 100 years, to release a collection of crystal stemware and vases. Available in black, white, and clear crystal, the stemware cuts a cool, clean figure with its cylindrical bowl, extra-skinny stem, and wide foot. A KL-monogrammed glass coaster accompanies each glass, sparing your table from unsightly water marks. The handblown glasses will retail from $131 for a champagne flute to $1,600 for a large vase.
The Orrefors by Karl Lagerfeld Stemware Collection is available in Europe starting in September and in the U.S. at Bloomingdale’s starting mid-October.
That's a marriage that we definitely can toast to.
