You really lack journalistic integrity. Republicans filibustered the extension because there was a bunch of stuff totally unrelated to jobless benefits tacked onto it. Democrats did the same thing when Republicans controlled the legislature.

Furthermore, it was the Democrats who requested pay as you go, so the Republicans are doing them a favor right? Unless pay as you go was a gimmick.

It's amazing as well that mass media has begun to characterize his response as "not emotional enough". It was quite surprising. Isn't emotionalism, at least to some extent, what got us into Iraq? Amazingly, not enough serious questions about what wasn't done by BP are being asked.

Do you think retail is still in the midst of recession? May sale looked good, however it seems there is cautious optimism with many retailers in the throes of recession. Walmart has just let go close to 14,000 employees! What is your opinion?

Why did Goldman Sachs sell 44% of its investment in BP on March 31st, 2010, 20 days before the deepwater oil rig explosion took place in the Gulf of Mexico? Lucky move?

The people who sit around and compare tragedies lack understanding and wisdom, and lack, most of all, compassion. It is probably our feeling that we are someone entitled to have things go a certain way, but that is not the way life works. There are people all over this world suffering, and we rarely hear them complain or compare, the just pick up and move on as best they can.

Yes, we should always hope for better responses (from everyone) in tragedy, but the best responder to any tragedy is self. Further, politicians will always play politics. The same politicians who claim they don't want the "feds" in their business yesterday is the exact manipulators who are calling in the "feds" now. We'll never understand the heart and motives of humans, but we can control how we react and respond.

Let us help each other and pray for strength for our President and other leaders who desire to do good.

Blessings,

We must not forget about each other. Also, we must not forget about our President. He is but a man, a leader, but nonetheless, just a man. When he ran for President, few people really supported him until the very end of the campaign. They let their fears darken their faith. The President and First Lady needs us as much as we think we need them. We can help each other and our leader by getting out and doing, really caring what happens to each other and our communities. I read yesterday about a church that closed its door on Sunday and went into the community to help anyone who needed it. What if every church did that every single day? A whole lot would change. We have more power than we think. Yes, there are a few things the President can do, but ultimately, we can radically change the lives of our neighbors for good....if we really want to.

Let's move! Let's get down to the business of helping each other, and we'll end up helping ourselves.
