Chris Tucker owes the IRS $14 million in back taxes, but hosting next year’s BET Awards could help him put a dent in the bill. The actor who rose to meteoric fame via Friday and the Rush Hour flicks has been plagued over the years with financial woes.
The IRS recently hit Tucker with a $2.5 million lien for federal taxes, which is in addition to the $12 million he already owed. Tucker did not pay $2,496,138.24 in taxes owed from the years of 2008 and 2010.
That means Tucker owes taxes for 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010. The exact sum of debt that Tucker now owes is $14,068,047.50.
A rep for the actor-comedian says that his client settled with the IRS on Friday, but did not disclose the payment agreement.
