This takes the phrase ‘Secret Santa’ to a completely different level.
Apparently, there is a secret Black Santa at Macy’s in Herald Square NYC. That’s right folks, you have options when it comes to whose lap your child sits on.
Amy K. Nelson, a reporter for Animal New York, chronicled her adventure to find the Black Santa at Macy’s. First up was with the ‘main’ Santa, where he insisted that he was the one and only Santa. However, once she asked a couple of elves, she was led through the maze to find the ‘special Santa’. In her video documentary, this discovery was naturally coupled with a musical switch to Run DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis”–because black people.
Of course, she asked about Megyn Kelly, but Black Santa graciously said, “I’ve heard of this story, but Santa hasn’t had time to really sit down and watch much TV. This is the busiest time of the season!”
Well, it is good to know for future reference that if you’d like to have your child take a picture with a Black Santa, that option is available to you. I wonder if this means there’s separate rooms for Latino and Asian Santas??
