This has been quite the week for Kanye West. He and fiancee Kim Kardashian filed suit against Youtube co-founder Chad Hurley, after he leaked footage of their proposal event after signing a confidentiality agreement. Kanye also compared Kim to First Lady Michelle Obama, which sparked a hilarious fictional response from the FLOTUS (actually written by Rembert Browne). “You’re Barack’s Papoose. And yes, Kim is my Remy Ma,” the letter read.
Unfortunately for the “creative genius,” a few of his upcoming tour dates have been forced to be postponed. The truck transporting a custom video truss and 60-foot LED screen to the Vancouver tour stop were involved in an accident, which rendered them irreparably damaged. Because these pieces are key parts of the Yeezus stage, Def Jam announced that the tour would be put on hold until they could be replaced.
“This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA,” Def Jam said. “Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans.”
So far, only the shows in Vancouver, Denver, Minneapolis and Anaheim have been affected. More information is expected soon.
