Reality TV has become a form of entertainment we just can’t seem to get enough of — a guilty pleasure of sorts. Week after week, we tune in to see grown women lunge at each other (“Basketball Wives”), men cheat on their girlfriends and lie about it (“Love & Hip Hop”), and now a rapper navigates his way to the altar or not, (“Marrying The Game”). And let’s not forget the obsession over the train wreck of shows highlighting the lives of (un)married women (“The Real Housewives” franchises).
But besides the funny one-liners many of us live for, reality TV isn’t completely filled with, how we say today, ratchet-ness. We have to admit that shows like “The Family Hustle” and “Tia and Tamara” have done wonders for the stars’ careers. In spite of T.I.’s tumultuous run-ins with the law, he gets to showcase that he’s an awesome family man. And as the Mowry twins continue to break away from their “Sister to Sister” past, they are now all grown up and married with children—making them very relatable to their fans that have grown up with them.
Since reality television has the ability to re-brand personalities and propel careers, there’s no slowing down of this form of entertainment in sight. In fact, here are a few celebrities we think should join in on the entertainment phenomenon, and have their own reality shows.
