Artists Todd and Eric Lindbergh reportedly spent four days painting a 9-by-30 foot mural of Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas on the outside wall of a sports bar, with the caption “Way to go Gabby.”
“WOW!!! This is amazing!! #sohonored,” Douglas tweeted on Friday after seeing the painting. The brothers said the idea for the mural came after seeing her on television receiving her medal.
But the Lindberghs aren’t the only ones putting the spotlight on the 16-year-old phenom; Oprah Winfrey is set to interview Douglas for an upcoming episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Winfrey’s official site states Douglas will discuss her journey to the 2012 London Olympics and the immediate media attention she is now facing. The media queen will also speak with Douglas’ mother Natalie and her host family, as well as visit her gym in Des Moines, Iowa.
The exclusive interview will air Sunday, August 26 at 8:30 p.m. on OWN.
