Apparently, Usher asked the courts to delay the next hearing, stating that it would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for him, Tameka and their sons after Kile’s death. But Tameka’s calling foul. She claims that Usher is just trying to use the tragedy to gain sympathy from his fans and the media. He, however, has admitted that he fears the court will give a grieving Tameka an unfair advantage. Tameka maintains that Usher is just trying to garner sympathy and favor. And claims that Usher only visited Kile in the hospital once while the child spent 15 days on life support, and Usher refused to tweet a call for prayer for Kile yet tweeted about his breakfast. Tameka is fighting mad and says the only way she will heal is to put the custody battle behind her.
Honestly, I still don’t understand why these two are battling for custody of their sons. I mean, it seems it would be in the best interest of everyone to share joint custody. I’ve never heard of Tameka nor Usher treating their sons poorly. It’s simply time to grow up and stop using their kids as pawns.
