News about the upcoming Michael Jackson documentary has come just in time as the late King of Pop would have turned 54 tomorrow (August 29).
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jackson’s Bad, ABC has acquired the television rights to Spike Lee‘s music doc Bad25 that uncovers the icon’s “creative vision” on his seventh studio album, reports Shadow and Act. The film will air on Thanksgiving.
“This will be a very special Thanksgiving for all families to enjoy the genius of Michael Jackson,” Lee said in a statement. “Big thanks to ABC for allowing people to witness the making of Michael Jackson’s ‘BAD’ album. Shamon.”
The documentary will reportedly feature never-before-seen footage and interviews conducted by Lee that include Jackson’s “confidants, choreographers, musicians and collaborators.”
