Why we say it: We don’t want to be labeled “clingy” or “needy.”
Why this is a problem: It’s not “crazy” to expect communication from someone you’re in an intimate relationship with. And by calling ourselves “crazy,” we’re not allowing our needs to be met.
If it’s only been two hours since date #1, yeah, you might want to calm down. But if it’s a couple of months in and you’re not happy with the amount of communication you’re getting, it’s totally OK to consider that the problem isn’t that you’re crazy, the problem is that this may not be the guy for you.
