According to Forbes, the hip-hop diva has inked a seven-figure deal to become the face of Pepsi’s latest beverage “Pop.” The contract also comes with a new commercial that was shot in South America last month.
“You’ll see the commercial probably in the next two months,” says Glu agency chief Derek Jackson. “That’ll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called ‘Pop,’ and she’ll be the face of the brand [...] it’s going to be explosive.”
In October, the “Super Bass” MC teamed up with nail color giant OPI to introduce six new nail lacquers influenced by her debut album, Pink Friday. She is also the face of MAC Viva Glam with pop singer Ricky Martin.
Label mate Lil Wayne announced his deal with Pepsi at last week’s SXSW conference. His campaign, DEWeezy, is a partnership with Mountain Dew.
