The 30-year-old actress has just landed the lead role in NBC’s new drama pilot Notorious. This will be her first series regular gig.
The show will center around “detective Joanna Locasto (Good) [who] returns undercover to the wealthy and troubled Lawson family she grew up in– as the housekeeper’s daughter– to solve the murder of celebutante Vivian Lawson, who was once her closest friend.”
Good currently has a recurring role on Showtime’s Emmy Award-winning Californication. She can also be seen alongside Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy and the talented cast of Think Like A Man, in theaters April 20.
NBC is rightfully giving black actresses their shine in the upcoming television season.
Our cover girl Tracee Ellis Ross and the Marriage Counselor’s Jurnee Smollett will star in the network’s drama pilot Bad Girls about a group of unlikely women serving time in federal prison.
