The GRAMMY nominee was sidelined for nearly five months after being forced to cancel her sold-out U.S. tour to undergo surgery on her vocal cords. But the 23-year-old soul singer is back and ready.

“I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year’s GRAMMY Awards,” she said. “It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.”

Adele has been nominated for six Grammys including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video (“Rolling In The Deep”); Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album (21); and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Someone Like You.” She is already a two-time Grammy winner.

Her second studio album, 21, has spent its 17th nonconsecutive week at #1 on the Billboard albums chart, surpassing the super soundtrack to 1997′s Titanic.

Previously announced performers include Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell with the Band Perry and Blake Shelton, Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift.

The show will be hosted by LL Cool J.

The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
