Dana-Maxx, a relatively new designer, showcased her first collection in 2007. Since her debut, she has been taking the fashion world by storm. Her designs can be seen anywhere from the streets of New York City to the pages of ELLE Magazine. She prides herself on creating clothing that is both chic and edgy for the sophisticated woman.
When Dana Maxx isn’t designing, she is giving back to others, and inspiring her community. She is currently an ambassador for GLAMOUR Magazine, a committee member for Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, and a member of the Young Leadership Committee for Juvenile Diabetes Research. She is also a mentor for the Adopt-a-Student Program at the High School of Fashion Industries in New York, and a critic at The Fashion Institute of Technology. Not to mention, Dana provides guidance and mentorship to assist aspiring fashion designers who are trying to reach her level of success in the industry.
We met up with the designer to ask her a few questions about her fashion line and why she makes it a priority to give back.
