It’s hard to miss the 2011 Lincoln MKX ads. On the radio, on television, the sleek 2011 version just seems to be everywhere and with good reason. Since first appearing in concept form in 2004 and for sale in 2006, the MKX has steadily risen up the ranks to become a player in the luxury crossover market. Still, even with its past strides, the 2011 Lincoln MKX is still a sight to behold.
First of all, it manages a look that is both professional and sexy, a combination many strive for every day. And, it can actually double as part office for creative professionals since running pictures and videos in the center console is not out of the question. So, it’s perfectly conceivable to have a potential client sink into the plush passenger seat or second row while taking in a pitch presentation.
For families making those obligatory road trips, being able to flash a few pictures or plug in recently recorded video can take the edge off a long trip. Best of all, the system utilizes MyLincoln Touch technology, an exclusive feature not offered by competitors. That means there are no knobs – everything is pretty much facilitated by touch or by voice.
There is no regular radio in the MKX, but rather HD radio. With its audio tagging feature, just touch the screen, tag the song and purchase it later on iTunes. Cold-weather dwellers will certainly rejoice over the remote start and heated steering wheel and seats. Ambient lighting in various colors plays well in any climate.
Voice-activated technology is very much a part of the MKX so it’s like having a concierge on hand. Want to change the temperature? Just let the MKX know. Do the same to find a restaurant or the lowest gas price in the area. Of course, safety features are top-notch.
With pricing beginning at just under $40,000, the MKX is definitely an affordable luxury brand. And so far, it’s easy to see why consumers love it.
