If you want to have a unique car experience, kick out a few extra bucks for BMW’s European Delivery program
By Holly Reich
Here’s how it works:
Order a European-built BMW at your local dealership. Head home, feeling like The Man. (Or buy and customize your ride online at bmwusa.com without even leaving your couch. You can choose from an array of options, such as 20-inch double-spoke wheels and rear seats that massage your back.) Track your built-to-order auto online and, six to eight weeks later, hop a flight to Munich, home of the automaker’s headquarters. The Welt (pronounced velt)—the company’s less than three-year-old, highly stylized BMW showcase—houses the brand’s full lineup of vehicles, as well as exhibits, displays, a store, a restaurant, and the spot where you’ll pick up your new ride.
